DC operated LVDTs (Linear Variable Differential Transformers) have signal conditioning electronics built into the LVDT and require no calibration or special signal conditioning. Units can be powered with uni- or bi-polar DC voltages and have scaled DC voltage, current or digital outputs. Ranges from ±0.050” to ±10.000” are available.
AC operated LVDTs (Linear Variable Differential Transformers) contain no electronics and are therefore the first choice when small size, hostile environments or low cost are required. AC LVDTs offer the maximum amount of flexibility for outputs and scaling when used in conjunction with Signal conditioners. Ranges from ±0.005” to ±10.000” are available.
LVDTs with a spring-loaded plunger and bearing assembly (gageheads) that allows for easy installation. The core rod assembly does not need to be attached to the part to be measured making the gagehead an ideal solution for assembly lines and gaging stations. AC, DC and digital output versions are available. Ranges from ±0.020” to ±2.000” are available.
LVDT Transmitters & Transmitter Systems are two wire looped powered sensors ideal for applications in power plants and industrial environments with long cable runs. Units are available with zero and span adjustments and intrinsic safety approval. Ranges from 0.25” to 10.000” are available.
