These gauges have stainless steel or Inconel carrier backings and are designed to be spot welded to the test specimen. The greatest feature of this series is a capability of measurement in high temperature except AWC-8B. Sensing elements excluding that of AW-6 are encapsulated in stainless steel or Inconel tube to maintain good stability for measurement in harsh environment.

AWH-8/AWH-16(G.F. 2.1 approx.)

These gauges are fully encapsulated in a metal tube for use in various environments, including gas-filled atmospheres and underwater.Although they are a half-bridge type consisting of active and dummy gauge, the measurement is made by the full-bridge method using the provided temperature compensation circuit board. These gauges can be used for static strain measurement in temperatures up to +600°C,and for dynamic strain measurement in temperatures up to +650°C.
